Today we experienced what the expression ‘up hill & down dale’ means first hand, as we made our way towards Blackburn and then Kendal. 78 miles and an elevation gain of over 6000 feet was certainly tough!
On the plus side, some of the grouped clocked over 40 mph going downhill!
We enjoyed the beautiful scenery of moorland, sheep and cattle and farms aplenty, before arriving in Kendal to recuperate.
